Gonarthrosis/ Arthritis (Knee)

Arthritis occurs when cartilage, which normally protects the joint, begins to break down. It is most commonly associated with the aging process but can also be linked to genetics, obesity and past injuries. In short, gonarthrosis is arthritis that is localized to the knee joint. With gonarthrosis, symptoms are similar to general arthritis in which one may experience feelings of stiffness, swelling, tenderness, warmth, redness and/or reduced mobility of the knee.
